I just turned 28. Here are 11 lessons life has taught me so far.

Should it be 28 lessons? Probably. Do I have time for that? Absolutely not. Eleven will do for now.

I just turned 28. Here are 11 lessons life has taught me so far.

1. Life is not a speedrun. it’s a marathon.

Pace matters more than intensity.

2. If you receive a “fantastic” opportunity, don’t say yes instantly.

Think first. Good decisions rarely require panic-clicking.

3. Time spent on hobbies is not wasted time.

Life can’t be only productivity; creativity needs breathing room.

4. Knowing a bit about many things is cool but mastering a few things is power.

Depth opens doors breadth can’t.

5. Lies always need protection.

They drain your energy. Truth is cheaper to maintain.

6. Before speaking on anything important, ask yourself:

Does the world actually need my opinion right now?

7. Normal investment returns are 5–15% per year.

If something promises to make you rich fast… you’re probably making someone else rich.

8. You’ll carry your losses mostly alone.

And that’s okay. it builds resilience.

9. Learning AI is no longer optional.

It’s a new literacy. Adapt or fall behind.

10. Consistency beats talent.

Showing up every day outperforms “gifted but inconsistent.”

11. Chance is a big part of success.

You can reduce its influence through hard work but you can’t eliminate it.
